Delvida Frances Robertson

Newport, - Delvida Frances Silvia Robertson, 83, of 6 Pope Street Newport, died Sunday, May 18, 2003 at Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center Newport, RI.She was the wife of John Robertson of Newport. Born in Portsmouth, RI on April 28, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Antoinette Freitas Silvia. Mrs. Robertson was a member of St. Marys Church, the V.F. W. Ladies Auxillary post #4487 and an avid Bingo player. Besides her husband of 42 years she is survived by her son Raymond Arruda of Atlanta, GA, three daughters Barbara Mahoney, Julia Mahoney and Shirley Sullivan all of Newport, RI, her sister and her best friend Olivia Marjorie Campbell of Newport, RI, fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.She was the sister of the late Freddy Silvia.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at 10:30am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
