Denise Mermod Hiemann

Denise Mermod Heimann Middletown, - Denise Mermod Heimann, 76, of 12A Barton Lane, Middletown, died Friday, February 18, 2005, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Jack Hans Heimann. Born in Switzerland, on January 22, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Constance and Alice Oguey Mermod. Mrs. Heimann had worked as a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Newport Chess Club. She is survived by a son Richard Heimann of Katy, TX, a daughter Susan Hawes of Portsmouth, RI, two brothers Rene Mermod of Quebec, Canada, and Marcel Mermod of Switzerland, a sister Edith Sommerhalder of Switzerland, seven grandchildren, and one great grandson. She was also the mother of the late Daniel Heimann, and sister of the late Georges Mermod, Ernest Mermod, and Berthe Neyroud.Funeral services and burial will be private.Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Disease Crisis Intervention Center, 23 Broad Street, Pawtucket, RI, 02860.Arrangements are by the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
