Deolinda M. Moniz

Newport, RI - Deolinda M. Mello Moniz, 78, of Halsey Street, Newport, died Monday, May 10, 2004 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Manuel J. Moniz. Born in Fall River, MA on January 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Pacheco Mello. Mrs. Moniz was a housemother for the Newport School of Nursing and the Newport Hospital for many years. She was a communicant of Jesus Saviour Church and was also on the Holy Rosary Sodality. She is survived by two sons Robert Moniz of Portsmouth, RI, and Michael Moniz of Sarasota, FL, her daughter Catherine Graban of Norton, MA, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.She was the sister of the late Edward Mello and Patricia Ford. Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 14, 2004, at 11:00AM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
