Diane Elizabeth Maynard

Portsmouth, RI ? Diane E. Fitzler Maynard, 69, of 36 Heritage Drive, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, April 10, 2006 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late George Maynard. Born in Fall River, MA on Apr. 2, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Louise Jones Fitzler.Mrs. Maynard worked at Raytheon for 30 years, retiring in 2001, prior to that she worked at Transcom. She was a communicant of St. Anthonys Chruch. Diane was a member of the Democratic Womens Club. She is survived by her sons Robert L. Ferreira of Tiverton, RI, George N. Maynard Jr. of Newport, RI, and Michael J. Maynard of Leicester, MA, her daughters Deborah L. Maddox of Virginia Beach, VA, Judy A. Ferreira-Rego of Portsmouth, RI, Susan D. Soderlund of Tiverton, RI, Jacqueline M. Peterson of Portsmouth, RI, Cheryl L. Tucci of Saunderstown, MA, twelve grandchildren, one great granddaughter and a sister Sandy Dutra of Connecticut. She was the sister of the late Leroy Fitzler Jr., and Joan Fitzler. Her funeral will be held on Friday, 14, 2006, at 9:00a.m. from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Libre Service at 10:00a.m. in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Portsmouth.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2006, from 5-8p.m. in the Connors Funeral Home.
