Tiverton, RI - Diane Louise Gadbaw, 57, of 4 Elaine Drive, Tiverton, RI, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at St. Annes Hospital, Fall River, MA.She was the loving wife of Fred Gadbaw. Born in Newport, RI on September 20, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S and Flora Perry Raposa.Diane graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1970 and from Roger Williams College in 1974 with a degree in Theater Arts. During her school years, she worked in the family produce business Crest Farms in Newport. After college she worked for a few years at Trinity Reparatory Theater in Providence. Diane also attended the Salter School in Fall River, MA after working for Sears Roebuck Co for over 30 years. She was an active member of St. Barnabas Church in Portsmouth. In her free time, Diane was an enthusiastic sports fan. She loved all the New England Sports teams as well as NASCAR. Besides her husband of 31 years, she is survived by her son Michael Gadbaw of Tiverton, RI, three brothers Arthur Raposa of North Attleboro, MA, Joseph Raposa III of Tiverton, RI, and James Raposa of Atlanta, GA, two sisters Marie Martin and Carol Petterson, both of Vero Beach, FL, three aunts and several nieces and nephews. Diane was a very loving and devoted mother and friend. She is preceded in death by her daughter Kristen Gadbaw.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, from 4-7 in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, PortsmouthHer funeral will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at 9:00am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
