Dolores Ann Lowden

Middletown, RI - Dolores A. Dutra Lowden, 78, of 49 Bayview Park, Middletown, RI, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at John Clarke Health Care Center, Middletown, RI, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Donald Lowden of Middletown. Born in Newport, RI on June 26, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Dutra Corriera and Mary L. Aguiar Boiani.Mrs. Lowden worked as a housekeeper for many years on the Newport Naval Base. She was a member of V.F.W. Post #4487 Ladies Auxiliary in Middletown, and an avid bingo player. She loved nothing more then spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband of 19 years, she is survived by her children, Robert L. Peckham and his wife Donna of Jamestown, RI, Donna M. Ruhle of North Kingstown, RI, Deborah Peckham of Newport, RI, Dawn S. Gomes of Tiverton, RI, and Sharon M. Coughlin and her husband Gary of Middletown, RI, her step-sons Michael Lowden of Hutchinson, KS, David Lowden of Wichita, KS, and Alan Lowden of Overland Park, KS, and her sister Elaine M. Jaquette of Newport, RI, fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Barbara LeJeune.Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 22 from 4:00-8:00pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 10:00 in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
