MIDDLEOWN, RI - Dolores M. Breau Silveira, 92, of 1064 Green End Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Monday, January 16, 2006, at home.She was the wife of the late Manuel Deniz Silveira II.Born in New Bedford, MA, on May 30, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Octave and Virginie Bourque Breau.Along with her husband, they owned and operated the Middletown Grain Store, which provided grain for Aquidneck Island farms for more than 30 years. Mrs. Silveira also had a foster home for emergency placement of children for a number of years. Then she went to work for the childrens home on School Street for Children Friends Service in the 1960s before she retired. She was a member of the Middletown Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Silvieria was a Communicant of St. Lucys Church in Middletown.She is survived by four daughters Jean Cottrell of Springfield, TN, Caroline Darney of Ft. Pierce, FL, Ann Baseley of Carlsbad, CA, and Patricia Soares of Middletown, RI, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert D. Silveira and the grandmother of the late George A. Maigler.Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 20, 2006, at 8:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM, in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery, Brown?s Lane, Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2006, from 2-4PM and 7-9PM, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Services Of Newport Bristol Counties, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, 02871, or to the Middletown Rescue Wagon Fund, 239 Wyatt Road, Middletown, RI, 02842.
