Donald F. Dick

Donald F. Frank Dick, 73, of Brooks Avenue, Newport, RI, died Sunday, January 25, 2004, at home. He was the husband of Mary G. Gloria Dutrisac Dick.Born in Nashua, NH, he was the son of the late Albert and Anne Agnes Riney Dick, and stepson of the late Viana Dick. He had lived on Brooks Avenue since 1968.Mr. Dick retired from the Navy in 1968 after 21 years of service, including service in Vietnam. He later worked as an electrical contractor for Bestoso and Butterton of Newport from 1968 to 1985, and for Donald Jestings Son of Middletown from 1985 until his retirement in 2001.He was a charter member of A Wish Come True Inc. of Warwick and was on the board of directors from 1982 until his death.Besides his wife, he leaves five daughters, Dawn Peckham of Williamstown, VT, Judy Stan of Virginia Beach, VA, Tina Murphy of Albany, NY, Tracy AW Dick of Florida and Vicki Jo Greeley of Newport, two sons, Jay Dick of Fort Worth, TX and Jon Dick of Williamstown, VA, his stepsister Avis Vigneault of Vermont, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two stepdaughters, and two stepsons.He was the brother of the late Robert Dick.A Memorial Service will be held at a time and place to be announced.
