Donoandrea M. Decomo

Donandrea DeComo passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Rocco DeComo. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine (McVicar) Reilly. She is survived by Marcia and her husband Robert Pereira of Shrewsbury, MA; Robert Sewall and his wife Cynthia; Katherine Myette and her husband Pierre; and Peter DeComo and his wife Kristine, all of Portsmouth, RI. She was adored by her 11 grandchildren: Anthony, Adrienne and Emilee Pereira; Robert, Caitlin, Megan and Matthew Sewall; Andrew and Donandrea Myette; Gabriella and Juliana DeComo. She graduated from Westbrook Junior College in 1948 with a degree in fashion merchandising and went to work for the major department stores in Boston. Donandrea worked as a secretary for Raytheon for over 25 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of St. Joseph's parish and Rosary and Altar Society. She enjoyed playing golf, walking Cliff Walk, spending the day at the beach, helping others by knitting caps for the newborns, volunteering, and caring for her grandchildren. She cheered each of them on at their many activities and sporting events. The funeral will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 at 8:30 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Barnbas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
