Dorice E. Stone

Dorice E. Weiner Stone Portsmouth, RI - Dorice E. Weiner Stone, 87, of 233 Jepson Lane, Portsmouth, died Friday, July 22, 2005, at Newport Hospital in Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Andrew Low Stone. Born in Fall River, MA, on July 13, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Rose Talbot Weiner. Mrs. Stone was a legal secretary, working for several law firms in Massachusetts and Rhode Island for 30 years. She formally retired in 1986. Mrs. Stone also worked for Raytheon as a secretary for 8 years. She was a longtime member of St. Marys Episcopal Church and a member of Women?s Club of RI. Dorice enjoyed reading and was an excellent cook. She is survived by her son Gary Stephen Talbot Stone of Portsmouth, RI, and two grandchildren Heather Ann Stone Gaudet of IL, and Jamie Stone of MA, and two great grandchildren Dakota Stone Gaudet and Karis Stone Gaudet both of IL. She was preceded in death by her son Geoffrey Stone, and her sister Muriel Audet. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, July 27, at 11:00AM, in St. Marys Episcopal Church, 324 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be private.
