Doris A. Koohy, 80, of Middletown died Friday, June 19, 2015 at Forest Farm Health Care Center in Middletown, RI. Mrs. Koohy was born December 12, 1934 in Portsmouth, RI. She is the daughter of the late Manuel and the late Marianne (Perry) Silvia. Doris enjoyed knitting; she would knit small blankets and donate them to the Robert Potter League for Animals. She loved to bake, was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan, and could always be found with a Word Search book nearby. Doris' family would like to thank the staff at Forest Farm Health Care Center and Hospice for their compassionate care and kindness they afforded to Doris during her stay. She is survived by her children; Denise Levesque of Portsmouth, David Koohy of Middletown, Deborah A. DePalma-Piazza of Portsmouth, RI, Dwayne Koohy of Edgartown, MA and Dawn Koohy of Attleboro, MA. She is also survived by her sisters; Helen Allard of Assonet, MA and Alice Sawtelle of Assonet, MA and her grandchildren Christine Levesque, Nicole Lopes, and Justin DePalma and her great grandchildren; Andrew Levesque and Hazel Lopes.
