Doris E. O'Toole

Doris E. McKersie OToole, 78, of 303 Valley Road, Blenheim, Newport, Middletown, formerly of Bedlow Avenue, Newport, RI, died Thursday, May 9, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. Born in Paterson, NJ on May 28, 1923, she was the daughter of the late David McKersie and Mary Kascanik McKersie. Mrs. OToole had work as a research Pharmacist for the Pfizer Company retiring in the 80s. She was a Navy Veteran of World War II and she was also active in the W.A.V.E.S.Women Accepted Volunteer Emergency Services Mrs. OToole enjoyed going to yard sales and adored her granddaughter. She is survived by one daughter Eileen Wing of Middletown, CT, one sister Jean Antin of Centerville, MA, one granddaughter Elizabeth Wing of Middletown, CT. A Graveside service was held today at 10:00 am in Newport Memorial Park, Howland Avenue, Middletown where the Rev. Thomas Carnevale conducted committal prayers at graveside.
