Doris J. Meniz

Doris Kreider Meniz, 88, formerly of Newport, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Antone Meniz. Born in Portsmouth, RI on December 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Mrs. Beulah Borden Kreider O?Laughlin and the late Edward J. Kreider. She graduated from the former Thibodeau Business College of Fall River, Mass in 1939.Mrs. Meniz was employed by the Fredericks Billings Construction Co of Boston MA,. She was Secretary to the Project Manager at Coddington Point, Quonset Point Naval Air Station, and New Bedford, MA. She was also employed at Hedly?s Oil in Portsmouth, RI as a bookkeeper until she moved to North Carolina. She is survived by her daughter Toni Ann Meniz of Evanston, Ill , sister Beverly Ann Oloughlin Pine and her husband Joseph Pine of Middletown, RI, 2 neices, 1 nephew and several cousins. Mrs. Meniz was a communicant of Jesus Savior Church.Her funeral will be held on Monday, November 15, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport.
