Dorothy Anne Mello

Portsmouth, RI - Dorothy Anne Mello, 48, of 29 Island Avenue, Portsmouth, died Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at home. Born in Newport, RI on October 28, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Viola Dorothy Bento Mello. Ms. Mello was a certified nurses assistant, caring for various families on Aquidneck Island. She is survived by two sons Jason C. Martens of Chesapeake, VA, and Brett F. Robar of Middletown, RI, her daughter Melanie D. DeCosta of Middletown, RI, five brothers Joseph Mello of Little Compton, RI, Raymond Mello of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Arthur Mello of Tiverton, RI, Henry Mello of Portsmouth, RI, and David Mello of Chandler, AZ, her sister Cathleen Mendonsa of Portsmouth, RI, and three grandchildren.She was the sister of the late Richard Mello.Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 22, 204 at 10:00AM, in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
