Dorothy Frances Smith

Tiverton, RI - Dorothy Frances Hibbert Smith, 87, of 128 Riverside Drive Tiverton, RI, died Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at Forest Farm Health Care Center Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late William E. Smith. Born in Fall River, MA on March 2, 1916, she was the daughter of the late James and Etta Huoy Hibbert. Mrs. Smith was a clerk for 25 years at the Tiverton Gas Company, retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of St. Christophers Church and a member of the church Altar and Rosary Society. Mrs. Smith was a 1939 graduate of BMC Durfee High School in Fall River, MA. She was a member of the Widow and Widower Club of Tiverton. Her son Charles W. Smith of Tiverton, RI, her daughter Jacqueline Shearman of Portsmouth, RI, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one nephew, survives her.She was the mother of the late William E. Smith Jr. and the sister of the late Florence Hawkins. Funeral services and burial will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to the Forest Farm Health Care Center, Patient Activities Fund, Forest Avenue, Middletown, RI 02842.
