Portsmouth, - Dorothy Jean Vieira Brown, 69, of 160 Belmont Drive Portsmouth, died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at Rhode Island Hospital Providence, RI.She was the wife of Roger Jerome Brown CWO, USN, Ret. Born in Newport, RI on February 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Aldina DeCosta Vieira. Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Rogers High School. She was a communicant of St. Anthonys Church. Mrs. Brown and her husband owned and operated Brown?s Bed Breakfast at 502 Bristol Ferry Road in Portsmouth for 18 years until 2000. Besides her husband she is survived by three sons Roger J. Brown Jr. of Middletown, RI, Robert J. Brown and Wayne E. Brown both of Portsmouth, RI, a daughter Susan J. Brady of Portsmouth, RI, seven sisters Mary Roche and Agnes Luce both of Portsmouth, RI, Laura Toppa of Middletown, RI, Marjorie Sanders of Freemont, CA, Emily Hillian of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Julia Bucci of Warwick, RI, Yvonne Moffitt Middletown, RI, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2003, at 9:00AM from the Connors Funeral Home 55 West Main Road Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM, in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
