Dorsey Davidge Given Newport, RI - Dorsey Davidge Given, 89, of 70 Harrison Avenue, Newport, formerly of Gibbs Avenue, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Village House Nursing Home.She was the wife of the late Cresson Given. Born in New York, NY on September 5, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Mary Stetson Davidge.Mrs. Given received her BA from Roger Williams in 1981 and her MA from Salve Regina in 1983. She was an avid collector of antiques and loved beachcombing. Mrs. Given was a great supporter of animal rights and rescue and was a volunteer with the Aging Network. She is survived by her son Jay William Bouldin of Hogansville, GA, her daughter Jane Stetson Brubaker of Charlotte, NC, her sister Marybeth Hurley of Southampton, Long Island, NY, four grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Three grandchildren predeceased Mrs. Given.She was the mother of the late Margo Bouldin-Heyer of Florham Park, NJ. Her funeral and burial will be private.
