Duane L. Frank

Duane L. Frank, 79, of Lawrence Court, Tiverton, RI, died on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River, MABorn in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Mr. Frank was a veteran of the US Navy. He worked for 46 years for the Portsmouth School Department retiring as Head Custodian. Mr. Frank was a former President of Teamsters Local #94 and an Auxiliary Police Officer with the Newport Police Department. He loved working in the yard, vacationing, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.He is survived by his wife Flora (Silvia) Frank, her daughter Kathryn, husband Michael, and his two grandsons Michael J. and Philip Vieira, all of Portsmouth, RI. He is also survived by his brother and sisters, Eugene Frank of Dayton, FL, Diana Roger of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Sandra Cabelka of Glendale, AZ. He was the brother of the late Ronald Frank.Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 23rd, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 pm in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 at 9:00 am from Memorial Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Jesus Saviour Church, Vernon Avenue and Broadway, Newport, RI.
