Dunbar Ellis Hall, 70, of 27 Lehigh Terrace Portsmouth, died Friday, April 26, 2002 at home. He was the husband of Beverly Towle Hall. Born in Fall River, MA on December 8, 1931, he was the son of the late Norman and Agnes Tripp Hall. Mr. Hall was a graduate of Rogers High School and went on to graduate from Bradford Durfee Technical School. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. In 1964, Mr. Hall founded the Aquidneck Construction Inc. and has served as its President and treasurer.He was a Charter President of the Portsmouth Rod and Gun Club and had raised and trained English Pointers in the New England Trial Association. He was an elected member of the Portsmouth Planning Board. Mr. Hall was elected Portsmouth Tax Assessor and was an member of the Portsmouth Town Council from 1976 to 1988. He was a life long member of the Portsmouth VFW. Mr. Hall was a member of St. Marys Episcopal Church. Besides his wife he leaves two sons Stephen E. Hall and James Hall both of Portsmouth, RI, a daughter Susan Hall Sjolund of Lynchburg, VA, a sister Marguerite Walker of Savannah, GA, and four grandchildren. He was also brother of the late Norman Hall A Eucharist of the Resurrection will be Celebrated Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at 11:00am in St. Marys Episcopal Church, 324 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
