Earl N. Kennedy, Jr

Earl N. Kennedy, Jr., 70, of Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown, RI, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at his familys home.Born in Canton, Ohio on September 16, 1939, he was the son of the late Earl and Ethel Estrauder Kennedy.Mr. Kennedy served in the United States Navy for 23 years, retiring as a senior chief. He then worked at the Newport Naval Hospital for 20 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan and finally got to see the Green Monster just last season. He is survived by his four children, Earl N. Kennedy III and his wife Mary-Colleen of Middletown, RI, Patrick Kennedy of Tiverton, RI, Brian Kennedy of Middletown, RI, and Debbie Santos and her husband Danny of Middletown, RI; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his beloved pets, Biskit, Isabella, Georgia, Sophia, Dora and Diego Kennedy.Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 12-2 pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4487, 52 Underwood Lane, Middletown, RI 02842 and the Robert Potter League for Animals, PO Box 412, Newport, RI 02840.
