Eboni Marie Glover-Owen of 50 Washington Square of Newport passed away on Tuesday March 3 2009. She was born on September 17, 1972 in Newport, RI and was the daughter of the late Joyce Lombard and James Glover Sr. of Portsmouth.She leaves behind 4 daughters: Heather Leigh Carpenter21, Heaven Leigh Owen 20, Andrea Joyce Owen 17, Angelique Ruth Owen 14 all of Herlong, CA. She was also survived by a sister Elizabeth Sweet Walls, a brother James Glover Jr., a brother in law Ronald Walls, Jr. and many aunts, uncles and cousins of a large family from the Lombards, to Glovers, Masseys and Butlers.She ran a convenience store called Suggys , now known as Lunas. She was also a cook at many local restaurants, a housekeeper at Best Western Mainstay Inn, and she also worked for the Labor Union obtaining certifications for lead, hazardous waste and many other certifications for online courses.She was a people person and loved by many she came in contact with. She had a kind, humble, and loving spirit, and we all loved her good sense of humor. Eboni loved to cook for people, as well as challenging her mind with video games and puzzles. Eboni was a compassionate person to all that she knew.She was a mother, a sister, a daughter and a friend and she wont be forgotten for all the love and kindness she showed to all who knew her and those that she came into contact with. She will live on in our hearts and memories; we love you and will be missed dearly.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 14, 2009 at 3:00pm in the Park Holm Senior Center, 1 Park Holm, followed by a Celebration of Life to share stories and a meal in memory of Ebonis love of cooking.
