Middletown, RI - Edith V. Lema Santos, 86, of 416 Forest Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Joseph Anthony Santos. Born in Newport, RI on July 20, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jesse Lema. Mrs. Santos was a communicant of St. Lucy?s Church. She worked for the Middletown School Department in the school lunch program. She was a homemaker and was known to be a good cook for her family and friends. She is survived by her children Everett A. Santos of Bristol, RI, and Kenneth J. Santos of Houston, TX, her grandson Timothy E. Santos of Bristol, RI, and her sister Marceline Lima of Middletown, RI. She was the sister of the late Frank Lema and Anthony Lema. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 9, 2006, from 5-8pm in the funeral home.Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at 11:00 am in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
