Edna Louise Anthony

Middletown, RI - Edna L. Linley Anthony, 80, of 106 Wyatt Road Middletown, died Friday, April 23, 2004 at home.She was the wife of William C.Anthony. Born in Attleboro, MA on June 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Maude Duxbury Linley. Mrs. Anthony was a 1941 graduate of Rogers High School. She volunteered for 20 years at the Seamans Church Institute. Mrs. Anthony was a former Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Aquidneck Chapter #7, in Middletown. She was a member of St. Marys Episcopal Church in Portsmouth, and also a member of the Altar Guild. Mrs. Anthony enjoyed knitting. Besides her husband of 61 years she is survived by two sons William H. Anthony of Mclean, VA, and Jack Anthony of Middletown, RI, her daughter Christine Mulligan of Coventry, RI, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.She was the sister of the late Ruth Croteau. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at 11:00 AM in St. Marys Episcopal Church, 324 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
