Portsmouth, - Edna Louise Wilson, 92, of Aquidneck Place Portsmouth, formerly of 1 Arnold Avenue, Newport, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at St. Clare Home Newport, RI. Born in Newport, RI on February 11, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Cecelia P Skelly Wilson.Ms. Wilson was a registered nurse at the Newport Hospital for 44 years, retiring in 1976. She was a 1932 graduate of the Newport Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of AARP, Newport Hospital Alumni Association, Red Cross Auxilary, Catholic Daughters of America. Ms. Wilson was a communicant of St. Josephs Church and a member of the St. Josephs Senior Citizens. She loved knitting for her neices and nephews and was an avid baseball fan of the Boston Red Sox.She is survived by nine nieces and nephews, twenty two great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Frederick Wilson and Madeline Wilson Kelly, and for 50 years was a longtime companion of Alfred O. ?Al? Schultz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2003, at 10:00AM in St. Joseph?s Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport.
