Edward Francis Reynolds Sr

Middletown, - Edward Francis Reynolds, 76, of 15 Philips Avenue Middletown, died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. He was the husband of Claire Simmons Reynolds. Born in Newport, RI on January 5, 1928, he was the son of the late Manuel Reynolds and Mary Frances Morgan Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds worked for General Dynamics-Electric Boat for 15 years as a general foreman. He had worked for 28 years in civil service. Mr. Reynolds was a World War II and Korean Veteran serving in the United States Marines. He was an avid saltwater fisherman. Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by four sons Edward F. Reynolds Jr. of Middletown, RI, Michael Peter Reynolds of Chepachet, RI, James B. Reynolds of Exeter, RI, and Kenneth Allen Reynolds of Middletown, RI, one Brother William Reynolds of Portsmouth, RI, one Sister Laura Edwards of Middletown, RI, and seven grandchildren. He was the brother of the late George Reynolds, Joseph Reynolds, and Frank Reynolds.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at 7:30 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, to be followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00am Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway, Newport.
