PORTSMOUTH, RI - Edward W. Shore, 77, of 18 Second Street, Portsmouth, RI, formerly of 76 Mill Lane, Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday, August 7, 2005, at home. He was the husband of Lillian Nascimento Shore. Born in Pawtucket, RI on April 22, 1928, he was the son of the late Josiah W. and Lillian Greaves Shore. Mr. Shore served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an electrical engineer for Raytheon for 23 years, retiring in 1993. After his retirement from Raytheon he worked at the HiJi Corp in the maintenance Department until 2000. Mr. Shore was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church and the Eureka Lodge of Masons of Portsmouth. He enjoyed working cellar with wood, making furniture and repairing things. He also loved to take care of his gardens. Besides his wife of fifty five years he is survived by his brother Raymond Shore of Portsmouth, RI. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2005, at 1:00 PM in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2005, from 2-4 and 7-9 in the Connors Funeral Home.
