Edwin G. Turner

Port Monmouth, NJ - Edwin G. Turner, 54, of 461 Port Monmouth Road, Port Monmouth, RI, formerly of Tiverton and Portsmouth, died Thursday, October 11, 2007 at home. He was the husband of Mary Cabral Turner. Born in Newport, RI on March 29, 1953, he was the son of the late Thomas and Sybil Tripp Turner.Ed worked as a quahoger on Narragansett Bay and Sandy Hook Bay off New Jersey. Ed will always be remembered as a gentle, compassionate man, kind to all he met, who loved his children and his wife Mary with all his heart and soul. He was and is Mary?s beautiful, perfect man. Besides his wife he leaves his children Alex Turner and Katie Turner both of Bristol, RI, his brothers Thomas ?Bill? Turner of Omaha, NE, Peter Turner of Holland, PA, as well as his sister Marsha Skarka of Tiverton, RI. Ed also leaves his aunt Phoebe Tripp of Warren, RI, several nieces and nephews and his dog Charlotte.Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 18, 2007 from 4 ? 8 pm in the Connors Funeral Home 55 West Main Road Portsmouth with a memorial service at 7:30 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
