Portsmouth, RI - Elaine Eckersley, 84, of 74 Cedar Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Wilfred Charles Eckersley, Jr.Born in Fall River, MA on August 26, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Jeanette Roy Duff.Mrs. Eckersley enjoyed knitting, word puzzles, cards and playing the lottery.She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Barry of Portsmouth, Rhode Island and her son Wilfred Eckersley III of Portsmouth, RI. She also leaves her sisters Janice Richard, Jacqueline Hasprey and Brenda Darling, Six Grandchildren and Ten Great Grandchildren.Her brother John Duff and sister Phyllis Feldman predeceased her.
