Elaine Guisti Pierce Portsmouth, RI - Elaine Pierce, 74, of 218 McCorrie Lane, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, April 3, 2006 at her home in Portsmouth. She was the wife of Fred A. Pierce, USN Ret. They were married for 46 years. Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia Lucatti Guisti.Mrs. Pierce worked in the late 1960s as a retail clerk for several department stores in the Boston area, includingFilenes. Elaine and her husband enjoyed traveling all across the country in their RV, visiting family and friends. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Besides her husband she is survived by her sons Robert Soriano of Middletown, RI, and Stephen Soriano of Indian Shores, FL, and a daughter Louise Vinci of Windham, NH, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 11:00a.m. in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Rt 114, Portsmouth, RI. Burial will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.Calling hours will be held Thursday from 10:00-11:00a.m, before the funeral.
