Eleanor Dumond

Middletown, RI - Eleanor Dumond, 65, of 7 Admiralty Drive, Middletown, RI, died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Newport Hospital, Newport, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Arthur Dumond. Born in New Haven, CT on November 4, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John and Nellie O?Brien Gilbride.Eleanor was a hardworking mom, raising five sons and spending 25 years as a Navy wife, traveling with her family through her husbands assignments. She also enjoyed collecting Seraphim Angels and Byers Choice Carolers. She is survived by her husband Arthur Dumond of Middletown, RI, and her five sons William Croce of Middletown, RI, Michael Croce of Newport, RI, Marc Croce of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Bryan Dumond of Tiverton, RI, and Keith Dumond of Warwick, RI, as well as a sister Joan Esposito of Wallingford, CT, and four grandchildren Bill Croce, Jr., Nicholas Croce, Diana Dumond, and Aidan Dumond. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 12 from 4-8 in the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway Newport. A prayer service will be led in the funeral home at 7:30pm on Thursday.
