Casselberry, - Eleanor F. Peirson Oakley, 80, of 1079 Laura Street Casselberry, formerly of 123 Carroll Avenue, Newport Rhode Island, died Wednesday, December 11, 2002 in Casselberry, FL.She was the wife of Ret. Newport Fire Department Deputy Chief John B.Oakley. Born in Newport, RI on January 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Andrew F. and Marion Graff Peirson.Mrs. Oakley was a member of the Lake Catherine Ladies Club as well as the Lake Catherine Home Owners Association. She had been a former member of St. Augustins Church. Mrs. Oakley enjoyed doing needlepoint for family and friends and donating it to organizations. Besides her husband of 60 years she is survived by her son John B. Oakley Jr. of Newport, RI, seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Roger A. Oakley and Barbara J. Oakley, and the sister of the late Andrew Peirson. Her funeral will be held on Monday, December 16, 2002, at 10:00AM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in the Family Lot in Middletown Cemetery in Middletown. Donations in her memory may be made to the Newport Rescue Wagon Fund, 21 W. Marlborough Street, Newport, RI 02840.
