Eleanor M. Sullivan

Newport, - Eleanor M. ?Sis? Sullivan, 94, of 22 Morgan Street Newport, died Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Richard W. Sullivan. Born in White Plains, NY on March 29, 1909, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Catherine Humes Miller. As a young girl she worked at Newport Wrigley?s Gum Factory on 3rd Street, Newport Sanitube, the former Baptist Nursing Home and as a switchboard operator at the Newport Hospital. She was an avid bingo player, and enjoyed knitting baby?s sweaters and Christmas stockings. She is survived by two sons Richard W. Sullivan and John F. Sullivan both of Newport, RI, three daughters Kathryn F. Borges of Middletown, RI, Ethel M. Allen and Patricia A. Sant both of Newport, RI, fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Charles Miller, Catherine Gagnon and Sarah Kelly.Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2003, at 11:00AM, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be private.
