Elizabeth Ann Conley

Middletown, RI - Elizabeth Ann Chapman Conley, 75, of Crest Street, Middletown, RI, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of Walter M. Conley.Born in Newport, RI on February 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Cleary Chapman.Mrs. Conley was avid gardener. She was a caregiver for many years to her parents and her husband. A devout catholic, she attended mass at St. Lucys Church in Middletown and was a former member of the Eastons Point Association.In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kathleen C. Havey and her husband, Don, of Middletown, RI, and Maureen Andrew and her husband, Rick, of Greene, ME; and four grandchildren, Holly K. Andrew of PA, Nathan C. Andrew of Greene, ME, and Rosemarie E. Havey and Margaret H. Havey, both of Middletown, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 10 am in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport. Burial will follow in Island Cemetery Annex in Newport.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907-3150.
