Portsmouth, RI - Elizabeth Ann Orso, 65, of Portsmouth, RI, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 with her family at her side.Born in Norwood, MA on August 19, 1946, Lizz was the daughter of the late James and Susie Consentino Socci, and wife of the late David Anthony Orso.Creative and fiercely independent, Lizz enjoyed a life filled with simple treasures, beautiful landscapes, and family. A collector, dealer, and entrepreneur she embraced the excitement of the city, the beauty of the desert, and the peace of the sea. She had an inner force that could not be overlooked. Brazen and strong, yet sensitive, Lizz lived life to its fullest throughout a long battle with health issues. Whether walking among the dry cactus with the searing sun in the backdrop or watching fish fall from the sky during a storm, she was at home, comfortable. A passionate soul has left our midst. May she always be remembered for the joy that she brought to others and her willingness to help those in need.Elizabeth is survived by her son David, brothers, James and Charles, and sisters Phyllis and Susan. Her loving grandchildren, Ashlee, David, and Briana, and great grand children, Christopher, Kai, and Amara will forever hold her close to their hearts.
