Elizabeth Ann Silvia, 81, formerly of Anthony House, Middle Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at Newport Hospital surrounded by her family.Born in Providence, RI on February 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Olive M. (Carvalho) Silvia.Ms. Silvia worked as a domestic for many years. She was a communicant of St. Anthonys Church and also attended St. Barnabas Church.She is survived by her siblings, Anthony Silvia and his wife Catherine of Little Compton, RI, and Anna Lacerda and her husband Francis of Portsmouth, RI; her longtime companion, Harold Angel formerly of Portsmouth, RI; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Henry, Raymond and Lawrence Silvia, and Eleanor White. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 9 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
