MIDDLETOWN, RI - Elizabeth C. Conley Peckham, 93, of 1299 Wapping Road, Middletown, RI, died Friday, May 6, 2005 at Forest Farm Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Philip M. Peckham. Born in Newport, RI on September 8, 1911, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Edith Peckham Conley. Mrs. Peckham was employed with The Preservation Society for twenty-eight years retiring in 1997. She was a life member of St. Columba Berkley Memorial Chapel where she was active in many church organizations. Mrs. Peckham was a 75 year member of the Aquidneck Grange #30 in Middletown, member of Pomona Grange, State Grange, and National Grange. Mrs. Peckham was a charter member of The Major William Taggert Chapter, D.A.R. She is survived by her children James W. Peckham of Middletown, RI, and Lenice E. Harrington of Portsmouth, RI, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late John C. Peckham, and sister of the late Howard A. Conley. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at 11:00am in the Memorial Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 9, 2005, from 5-7pm in the funeral home.
