Tiverton, - Elizabeth E. Mello Rogers, 61, of 61 Highland Court, Tiverton, died Saturday, November 16, 2002 at home.She was the wife of Allen H. Rogers. Born in Newport, RI on August 30, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Botelho Mello. Betty was a member of St. Christophers Church of Tiverton. She had worked as a phlebotomist at the Newport Hospital, starting in 1978. She was also a member of Wanumetonomy Golf and Country Club in Middletown. Besides her husband she is survived by three sons Richard Swartz of Saunderstown, RI, John Swartz of Tiverton, RI, and Douglas Swartz of Tiverton, RI, a sister Eleanor Mello of Chula Vista, CA, and 5 Grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Richard Swartz, and sister of the late Arthur Mello and Raymond Mello.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at 10:00AM, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM, in St. Christophers Church, 1584 Main Road, Tiverton.
