Elizabeth Mary Aud

Middletown, RI - Elizabeth Mary Malley Aud, 95, formerly of Newport, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late Wilbert L. Aud. Born in Newport, RI on June 15, 1914, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Kingstree Malley.Betty was a registered nurse in private duty and at the Newport Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Josephs Church. Betty was an avid knitter and loved solving crossword puzzles. She had a great sense of humor and was an extremely generous and giving person to everyone she met. She is survived by her son Michael Aud and his wife Linda of Ledyard, CT, her daughters Carol Wendt and her husband Clancy of Reno, NV and Libby Gill and her husband Will of Middletown, RI, her sister Anna Peterson of Pawtucket, RI, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Harold Aud and William Bonham and the sister of the late Carol Swenson. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at 9:00am, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Josephs Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport.Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
