Newport, RI - Elizabeth (Betty) Ward, 58, of Newport, died Monday, September 30, 2013 at home in Newport, RI.. Born in Newport, RI on September 2, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Morea and Patricia (Deasley) Morea. Betty graduated from Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, CA in 1973. Upon her graduation from high school, she returned to Newport and began her lifelong career working as a CNA in many nursing homes in the area. Betty most enjoyed spending time with her grandsons Javen and Shea, they were the light of her life. She spent all of her time with them playing outdoors, having sleepovers, and watching their sporting events. She could also be found enjoying the outdoors, taking walks, and spending time at the place she loved the most; the beach. Betty also enjoyed watching movies, cooking, and reading.She is survived by her sons, Jason Ward and his wife Nicole of Newport, Jeremy Ward and his wife Erin of North Kingstown, Steven Sullivan of Portsmouth and her daughter Stacy Ward of Newport, her 12 grandchildren, Amber Prendergast, Tyler Donovan, Shannon Ward, Javen Smith, Jamie Ward, Shea Ward, Avery Ward, Brayden Ward, Cameron Ward, Molly Ward, Elijah Collins, and Mae Ward. She also leaves behind her siblings Joseph Morea and Gina Roberts, both of California.
