Elizabeth Whitman Dennett

Middletown, RI - Elizabeth Whitman Dennett, born January 1, 1912, died December 6, 2008. She was the daughter of Mary and William Whitman and the beloved wife of Aleck R. Dennett, deceased. She is survived by her daughters Susan Gore and Marilyn Young, both of Florida. Also survived by her cherished grandchildren: John Woods of Ohio and Lisabeth Dimitri of Pennsylvania. She had three great grandchildren: Courtney and Kristin Woods and Sydney Dimitri.Elizabeth attended Rhode Island College of Education and taught briefly at St. Michaels School and worked for the Newport Preservation Society for many years.She was a lifetime resident of Middletown and a member of the Calvary Methodist Church. Elizabeth lived a life of giving and love to her family and friends. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
