Ellen Victoria Gorski

Ellen V. Gorski, 102, of Newport RI died November 22, 2012 at Sakonnet Manor in Tiverton. Born June 4, 1910 in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Stella (Janicki) Gorski. She was a graduate of Rogers High School in 1929. She graduated from Rhode Island College with a degree in education and taught in the Newport Elementary schools for 34 years. She volunteered with the USO during World War II. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Alexender and Henry who both served in the Navy during War II.She is survived by her nephew, John S. Gorski, and three grandnieces, Heather Robison,Christina McDermott and Regina Carolan.Her funeral was held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, in St. Marys Church, Newport, with burial following in St. Anns Cemetery in Cranston.
