Elsie Bresnahan

Middletown, RI - Elsie Burroughs Bresnahan, 90, of 193 Forest Avenue Middletown, formerly of 28 Glen Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Thursday, February 5, 2004 at Forest Farm Health Care Center Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late Terrence Paul Bresnahan. Born in Portsmouth, RI on February 20, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Ada Ellen Sentence Burroughs. Mrs. Bresnahan was a lifelong Portsmouth residence. She was a member of St. Marys Episcopal Church in Portsmouth. Mrs. Bresnahan enjoyed gardening and dogs and at one time she raised show dogs. She is survived by two nieces Brenda Anderson of Tiverton, RI, and Barbara Ann Suratt of Newport, RI.She was the sister of the late John A. Burroughs. Funeral services and burial will be private.Arrangements are by the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
