Emily R. Freitas

Middletown, - Emily R. Freitas, 97, of 113 Renfrew Avenue Middletown, died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center Newport, RI.. She was the wife of the late Antone Freitas. Born in Azores, Portugal on April 26, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria Raposa Rezendes. Mrs. Freitas was a communicant of Jesus Saviour Church. She is survived by her son Laurindo A. Freitas of Middletown, RI, and her daughter Louise White of Newport, RI, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at 8:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport followed with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown, RI.In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Services Hospice Care, of Newport and Bristol Counties, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
