Emma I. "Mickey" Birdy

Emma I. "Mickey" Birdy, age 93, of Middletown passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at John Clarke Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Charles W. Birdy Sr.Born in Toronto, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Alfred M. and Florence (Blackley) Deal. Mickey served in the Navy during WWII. She was a long time member and leader of the Girl Scouts, working summer camps at Rocky Farm in Newport, RI.She is survived by her four children Marlys K. Birdy, Nancy J. Brundage,Buzz Birdy, Charlyne A. Faith as well as a brother Edgar DealMickey was also the sister of the late William Deal, Leonard Deal, Heber Deal, Marion McGonigal, Nancy Florence and Agnes Hartly.All funeral services are private.
