It is with great sadness that the family of Eric J. Christensen, 53, announces his passing on May 18, 2020, at his home in Portsmouth RI, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Eric was born on August 21, 1966, in Newport RI, to the late Forrest W. and Anne C. Christensen.
Eric attended St. Philomena School, Tabor Academy and Bishop Connolly High School. He was a Graduate of the University of Rhode Island Business School. Eric worked in the field of Telecommunications for Elite Wireless Inc. Prior to that, he was an employee of Verizon.
Eric was a communicant of Jesus Saviour Parish, a member of the Vasco Da Gama Holy Ghost Society and the Knights of Columbus Middletown Chapter. He enjoyed golfing, politics, playing darts, and spending time with his family and friends.
Eric is survived by his loving wife of fifteen years Deb [Dias] Christensen; his three adoring daughters Olivia Anne, Victoria Lyn and Angelica Hope. He was the beloved brother of two sisters Diane Christensen and Molly Oliver and her Husband Stephen Oliver. He leaves behind two nephews John Oliver and Zack Bromage and two nieces Gabby Oliver and Meghan Bromage. He also leaves behind many devoted friends, co-workers and extended family members who were a great comfort to him during his illness. The family has been blessed by the extraordinary support of the local community during these difficult times.

The current environment has prevented his family from receiving guests as they would prefer, so we encourage all friends and family to reach out to his family to show your support.
