Ernest Henry Green

Newport, RI - Ernest Henry Green, 64, of 21A Pond Avenue, Newport, RI, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at home after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Karen Lynn Bushey Green. Born in Newport, RI on January 11, 1944, he was the son of the late Ernest Herbert and Margaret Travers Green. Ernest had served in the US Army in the 1960s. He later owned his own painting business. After his retirement he spent most of his time visiting family. Ernest enjoyed his morning coffee time with his old buddies. His sense of humor kept you smiling. Ernest will be sadly missed. He was the loving father of Peggy Stone of South Carolina, Ernest Green of Newport, RI and John Green of South Carolina, the loving grandfather of Kyle and Zackery Green of Newport, RI, Nia Cunningham of Massachusetts, Selina Hayes of South Carolina and Mathew Stapleton of Rhode Island, the loving brother of Peggy Parisi of North Kingstown, RI and the loving uncle of Elizabeth Lema of Florida, Melissa McCauley of New Hampshire and David Lema of North Kingstown, RI. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008, at 11:00am in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
