Estulano Garcia

Newport, - Estulano Garcia, 78, of 2 Third Street Newport, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at home. He was the husband of Irene Pires Garcia of Newport. Born in Fayal, Azores, on January 30, 1925 he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria Rosa deSousa. Mr. Garcia was a marine carpenter with CC Yachts in Middletown for 15 years retiring in 1987. He also had worked at Pearson Yachts as a marine carpenter in Portsmouth.Mr. Garcia was a communicate of St. Josephs Church. Besides his wife he is survived by one son Manuel E. Garcia of Middletown, RI, and two daughters Maria L. Alves of Tiverton, RI, and Elizabeth G. Dill of Warner, NH and one sister Telma Sousa of Newport, RI, and 4 Granddaughters, a step brother Manuel Garcia Sousa of East Providence, RI, and a step sister Maria Teresa Silva of San Leandro, CA. He was the brother of the late Mary Mogardo, Evelyn Bulcao, Rose Garcia Mello. His funeral will be held Friday, April 11, 2003 at 8:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport.
