Ethel D. Hanos

Royal Palm Beach, - Ethel D. Millham Hanos, 84, of 14 Mohawk Drive, Royal Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Newport, died Sunday, September 15, 2002, at the Palms West Hospital, Royal Palm Beach, FL.She was the wife of the late Angelo Hanos. Born in Newport, RI, on June 7, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Annie Wetherill Millham. Mrs. Hanos was a Graduate of Rogers High School, Class of 1935. She moved to Florida in 1967 after her husband retired from the Newport Fire Department. She was a member of the Portsmouth Evangelical Friends Church and the Portsmouth Camp Association. She was also a member of the Point Association. She is survived by one son David C. Hanos of Newport, RI, two daughters Dorothy L. Pruitt of Royal Palm Beach, FL, and Christine Steadman of Orlando, FL, 10 Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Carol Baltra, and sister of the late Arthur Millham, Ida Ring, Jennie James, Ruth Millham, and Dorothy Trafton.Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20, 2002 at 10:00AM, in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in the Portsmouth Friends Cemetery in Portsmouth. Donations may be made in her memory to Portsmouth Evangelical Friends Church, 11 Middle Road, Portsmouth, RI, 02871.
