Ethel E. Kyle

Ethel M. Kyle of Middletown RI died Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the age of 80.She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James W. Kyle.Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Helen and Herbert McCauley.In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Kyle, and three sons: James Herbert Kyle of Keene, NH, Gordon Lewis Kyle of Norwich, CT, and Dr. David McCauley Kyle of Norway, ME. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and a brother, Lewis D. McCauley of Buffalo, NY.Ethel was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a graduate of Buffalo Seminary and Colby Sawyer College in NH. in medical technology. She was a scout leader and helped with the Meals on Wheels program in CT. She was an avid gardener and an officer in both the New London CT, and Newport Garden Clubs. She was also a member of the Newport Art Association, served on the board of the Middletown Library, and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church.
