Ethel M. Diddlebock Kitts Jamestown, RI - Ethel M. Diddlebock Kitts, 86, of Howland Avenue, Jamestown, RI, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at home. Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 9, 1921, she was the wife of the late William F. Kitts.Mrs. Kitts was a crossing guard at the Jamestown School for 15 years, before retiring in 2007. She was a communicant of St. Mark Church in Jamestown where she was a Eucharistic minister for many years. Mrs. Kitts was a past member of Quannacut Garden Club and the Newport Hospital Auxillary.Ethel was an avid Yankee Fan, enjoyed bingo, quilting, oil painting and being with her family. Ethels joy in life was her family, friends, and her pet cat PA. She was kindhearted and touched many with her generous ways. She will be held lovingly in her familys hearts forever. She is survived by her son, Lewis W. Kitts of Jamestown, RI, her daughter, Ethel M. Botelho and her husband Richard of Jamestown, RI, her daughter-in-law, Pamela Claytor of Portsmouth, RI, her grandchildren, Nathan Claytor and his wife Kimberly of Portsmouth, RI, Rebecca M. Farrell of Newport, RI, Richard W. Botelho, Jr. and his wife Michelle of West Warwick, RI, Sara Sylvia of Little Compton, RI, and William and Daniel Kitts, both of Jamestown, RI and seven great-grandchildren.She was also the mother of the late Henry H. Claytor. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 10:00 am in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown, RI.Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department, 50 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown, RI 02835.
